afraid to show it.
Through the many challenges that she has faced in her life, she has not
let anything get in her way nor stop her from creating the life that she
wanted and living out her dream of playing poker and enjoying her life to
the absolute fullest. Just as many other women have come up into the poker
world and have taken it by the horns with no remorse, Clonie has risen through
the poker ranks and has shown the world what she has to offer. Clonie was
born on Nov. 6, 1971 in Oklahoma.
As a girl in high school, even back then she was very competitive and loved
to play sports and things of that sort, which was only the beginning of
what was to come later on in life and throughout her poker career as one
of the top players to ever come onto to scene and change the game. Little
do many people know is that Clonie also was made Miss Teen McAlester Oklahoma,
which is not hard to envision, as her beauty is apparent. Even so, during
her earlier years, Clonie was always very athletic and loved to try different
things. As a teen, she moved to Texas where she began to embark on a new
and fresh life. In Texas, Clonie met a guy who would soon become her boyfriend.
She would begin taking an interest to and playing poker on a regular basis
with his family. From then on, Clonie would travel from state to state to
play poker games and try to get better at what she was doing. She made it
through many difficulties and challenges that would threaten her potential
poker career, yet she persevered and stayed with it through all of the bad
and kept her head on through all of the distractions. Gowen decided to start
her own travel agency business, but soon after, made the choice to put most
of her focus into poker and give it her all. Clonie Gowen shot up into poker
star fame after she managed to pull through in the Top 10 in the WPT in
2003 which gained her respect and credibility as a serious poker player
nationwide.
Since then, Gowen has went hand to hand with many top poker professionals
and has built her status up as a solid player that has something to prove.

in different events. Throughout her poker career, she has won more than
